Nothing lasts forever and sometimes stuff breaks. When that happens we need to acknowledge it to our gym space provider, District 191. If the damage is due to normal wear and tear, we can explain that. If the damage is caused intentionally, we may need to make reparations. That’s no big deal. It becomes a big deal when no one owns up to damage and “BAC” is accused of breaking something. It frustrates custodians, teachers, principals, Community Ed managers to have to track down the responsible gym user. It’s not fair to cast the BAC organization in a negative light this way. And it takes up BAC volunteers’ time to deal with the incident.
